With the rise of smartphones and digital watches, fewer people wear analog watches today. Seen as old-fashioned or unnecessary, traditional timepieces have lost relevance in a world where checking the time is as easy as glancing at a phone. However, there’s a growing demand for timepieces that do more than just tell time—they tell a story.
Problem
Making a brand identity with distinct packages was difficult due to how different each sku ended up looking. The mark had to have an insightful story just as the packages did, and colors were hand picked to fit each art movement. How could all boxes look like they were made by AON while still being different though?
Process
A luxury tone with a formulaic composition was found to be the be winning solution. Each box features a humanoid illustration reminiscent of the art movement, and a pattern as well. The system allows for each watch to stand together as a family, but they can also stand alone in the spotlight. All tied together with a mark that represents time itself.
